Sefton Advice Services is a partnership that includes the following organisations:
Age Concern Liverpool & Sefton is a charity dedicated to protecting and promoting the wellbeing of people aged 50+. Established in 1928, we provide a range of direct services which make life better for local older people including advice, companionship, care and support, exercise and skills. We can also offer a range of endorsed products specially designed for older people.
In 2008 Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council entered into a 10 year contract with business outsourcing provider arvato UK which provides a wide range of services to the Council and more than 280,000 citizens across the borough, including customer services, revenues and benefits, payroll, pensions administration, transactional and strategic HR, accounts payable and ICT.
Residents of Sefton are now able to choose from a range of options to contact the Council to make enquiries, including on-line channels such as e-forms that enable people to access services at a time and place that suits them. Citizens can also choose to visit one of two 'One Stop Shops' in Bootle and Southport to speak with an advisor or use the self service payment kiosks, or call the Customer Contact Centre.
Our mission is to provide advice that helps people overcome their problems and come together to campaign on big issues when their voices need to be heard. We give free, impartial, confidential advice on a wide range of issues that affect people’s lives, such as benefits, debt, housing and employment law.
NHS South Sefton Clinical Commissioning Group (SSCCG) is made up of local doctors, nurses, practice staff and member of the public, who are well placed to know the health needs and views of people living in the area.
One Vision Housing is an award-winning housing provider, with over 11,000 homes for rent in Merseyside, primarily across the borough of Sefton. We are committed to creating sustainable neighbourhoods that are thriving, well-run, active, inclusive and most importantly, safe places to live. We aim to provide homes that people want to live in and can be proud of.
Sefton Council for Voluntary Service (CVS) provides a range of support and services for local voluntary, community and faith organisations. We also manage a variety of projects, networks and forums that encourage volunteering and promote community engagement.
Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council is bounded by Liverpool to the south, West Lancashire to the east and Knowsley to the south-east. The Council is composed of 66 Councillors with one-third elected annually three years in every four. Each Councillor is democratically accountable to the residents of their ward.
